Chel smiled cunningly as she approached Tortuga. They will never find me here! she thought as her smile got even wider.
She was rowing in a boat with several golden things she had stolen from the temple, wrapped in a blanket. She didn't really know what they were, but they seemed expensive...
I can walk from here. Moving closer to the mainland, the tribal girl climbed out of the boat and on to the pier, without tying the boat to the pier. She didn't care much about it, it wasn't hers anyway, and she would never find any use for it at this place. It seemed to pretty much have anything she would need.
It was evening in Tortuga. But the place was more crowded than Chel expected. Trying not to draw too much attention to herself, she as well as tiptoed towards a building with her things, finding the backside of it, sitting down and exploring the treasures she had collected from the temple, grinning widely. Looks like I finally made it... she thought, hiding the treasures back inside the blanket, then hiding them under her skirt to be sure. Hugging her knees closer to her body, Chel continued to grin widely and snicker quietly of her own success. She had finally gotten out of El Dorado, and she had managed to get her own life. She knew the treasures the had stolen gotten from the temple were worth what many people called money, the stuff they needed to make a living. She would sell the gold tomorrow, as soon as she had gotten rest. "I made it..." she mumbled. Her hands were fisting triumphantly out in the air. "I made it!"
The Summer was in the air, and the warm wind calmed down as the evening turned into night, and Chel fell asleep against a wall, by the backside of a building, where people (hopefully) never went, dreaming of a new future not containing Tulio or El Dorado anymore. She was alone, and that was what she preferred.

Jack had been wandering the streets the same time as the mysterious figure had practically snuck through the town and slipped away behind a building. Glancing around, he noted with relief that nobody else had spotted her since the way she'd hidden herself basically screamed to follow her and discover the reason for her act.
In a port like Tortuga, it was quite unwise to look suspicious for trouble was sure to follow. However, that's not what drew Jack to her... it was the niggling in his mind that he knew this woman. Well, that was unsurprising in this port but he knew she was more than a common woman he associated himself with. A decent woman who didn't sell herself for pleasure, to be precise.
Swaying slightly thanks to the afternoon he'd spent drinking, he remained a distance away and followed the path she'd taken. Without her spotting him, he could see shiny goods in a blanket she had and she was obviously proud of her loot... and by the sounds of it her escape too thanks to her declaration of making it.
He watched in the shadows until sleep claimed her before swaggering right up to the figure. He made sure to be as quiet as possible as he approached and stopped directly before her. Peering down at the beauty, it finally hit him why he recognised her earlier. Jack remembered they had met once before and he had been drawn to her the instant he saw like, just like this time. It had been a while since that day and he'd managed to put her out of his mind, convinced she had disappeared forever. But here she was... right in front of him and had clearly been busy with treasure hunting.

Chel didn't notice that someone was following her until after she'd woken up. Opening her eyes she stared right at a man's legs, unfamiliar at the gaze at the legs, but when she looked further up, the tribal girl recognized the man. Or... there definitely rang a bell. She just didn't realize who it could be. "Aw, nooo, not yet.." she said sleepily with a rather soft voice. A foolish grin lifted the corners of her lips. A large yawn interrupted the grin, and she stretched, before she layed down on the ground, hugging her legs to herself like a cat, and continued to sleep like that. Without care for her treasures, which were lying unprotected by her legs, ready to get snatched.

Jack grinned back at her in amusement, even though she couldn't see it since she'd gone back to sleep. He didn't bother to attempt to wake her again but he wasn't about to leave. A woman of this one's attire and appearance alone was enough to lure in unwanted attention from any man... and the thoughts that ran through Jack's mind of what they could do to her forced him to stay by her side until she was fully conscious again. Not to mention the treasure laying unprotected alongside her would also attract visitors... and none of them good or nice.
Jack sat down beside her, leaning against the same wall she had been before she'd been disturbed. He eyed the blanket, and for once in a long time, his good side stopped him from snatching it and taking off, concerned for the well-being of the lass. With a defeated sigh, he pulled it closer to the sleeping woman, tucking it close to her curled body and out of view.

Opening her eyes after what could seem like an eternity for some, but just a small while in dreamland, Chel needed a while to take in her surroundings. Hmmm. Buildings. She was by the backside of a building, and she could feel something by her legs. On both sides. Pushing out one of her legs to feel if said thing was alive, because she knew she only had one sort of package with her, she listened to the reaction.
She sat up. Looking to the side, where she had kicked, Chel saw a man. A familiar man. Hmmm. He was familiar, there definitely rang a bell. But where had she seen him before? What was his name? "You look familiar. Have I toyed with you before?" she asked sleepily, stretching herself with a large yawn.

Jack didn't mind being kicked by the girl as he waited for her to get her bearings. He just hoped she wouldn't be scared by the sight of him because there was a possibility she wouldn't recognize him. Luckily, she didn't jump up and bolt.
He grinned at her, hearing the familiarly of her words as his own. "I'm honoured ye recall me, luv. Aye, we've met and I have no doubt there was toying, as you put it... although there could have been more." He winked at her before adding, "Captain Jack Sparrow, at yer service." Jack tipped his hat to her in a mock of a gentleman and was almost sure the name would click for her.

"Jaaack..." Chel grinned at him. "Yeah, I knew I've seen you before." Another yawn escaped her mouth, though this time it was intentionally, so that she could stretch herself and let him get a good look at her. A pity there hadn't been more. But hey, they had gotten another chance, didn't they?
It was still very late, or perhaps it was very early, depending on how you put it. She was tired, but she was aware that she hadn't given him her name. Grinning at Jack, she decided to cut to the chase instead of just doing small talk. "So what are you doing here, Captain Jack Sparrow?" she was rather blunt, but was still grinning at him like a fox with a plan.

Jack shrugged dramatically before replying. "Tis not often you'd lay eyes on another like me, I'd wager, so it would be hard not to recognise one of such appearance, savvy?" He smirked at her, not saying whether that fact was a good or bad thing. He couldn't help but gaze at her curvy and lovely figure as she stretched, even though he was certain it had been done deliberately.
Jack tore his gaze away to glance around with purpose for a moment then looked back at her with a raised eyebrow, however not wavering with the smirk. "I'm a pirate... it's a pirate port... no need to say more. But the real question here is what brings you to such a place?"

Chel answered with a short glance at the treasures she had escaped with, then moved her gaze back at Jack with a smirk. "I was thinking of leaving now. But why not take a small tour when I have a pirate friend who knows the island?" She got up from the ground and started toying with his braided beard. "If you show me what you know, then I will show you what I know...." she said, giggling softly and moving closer to Jack. "Savvy?" winking at Jack, Chel moved even closer to him, ready for their lips to meet. Then, with a sudden move, she grabbed his hat and playfully pulled it down to cover his face, then picked up her treasures and started to walk, but walked slowly, waiting for Jack.

Jack was about to answer with a response about mainly knowing the taverns on the island and that was about all so he couldn't exactly be called a tour guide, but that retort left his mind the moment she stood up and got quite close. A flash of deju vu hit him when she played with his beads in his beard, remembering too clearly how she'd done that on their first meeting.
"I have to admit, I like a lass who doesn't change their ways..." He grinned at her, his gold teeth bright in the street lights.
"Well, luv, I do happen to know quite a lot and do not want to waste our time on my knowledge... I think I'd much prefer to be shown what you know." As he spoke, he raised his two index fingers at her but as she got closer and closer he was suddenly lost for words. His eyes widened slightly and they dropped to her lips, more than eager to taste them.
Just as he was about to pucker up and connect with her, he found himself suddenly blinded and took a moment to realise she'd pulled his hat down. With a quick tug, he put in back in place on top of his head and glared at her but it failed since she'd turned away. "Definitely hasn't changed..." Jack muttered to himself and turned away from her to walk the other way.
Of course he spun back around and followed her a moment later, unable to resist the call of the mysterious woman. Swaggering after her, he purposely got in front of her and gave her a mock pout. "That wasn't very nice... shouldn't tease a pirate... or any man... like that, ye know."

Chel knew he would follow her. Giggling and smirking, she was beyond satisfied. "Careful, now. Shouldn't insult an Aztec woman..." Chel continued to giggle and kissed his cheek. "How about that place? Let's go there!" she pointed enthusiastically at a pub which didn't seem so crowded yet, as though the daylight scared people away. But Chel didn't know that most people were probably sleeping on or under tables if they hadn't gotten a room. Not many spent their nights on the ground. Grabbing his hand like a child, she approached the pub faster.

Jack tilted his head at her in thought before nodding once, in thought. "Aye, shouldn't insult any woman to avoid their wrath... which brings the slaps and the pain. Good thought." But instead of being slapped on the cheek, he was kissed and it was a brilliant change.
He turned around to see where she was pointing, noted the name of the tavern and took a moment trying to think if he were welcome or not or if there was any chance of danger. But before he could confirm it was a good choice, she practically dragged him towards it. He liked her enthusiasm and he just hoped she wasn't one of those who lead on and then left a man frustrated and confused. Oh how he did NOT like that kind of torture.
Taking control of the situation again, Jack took the lead once they reached the doors and entered with her now in tow. "Welcome to one of the many great places of Tortuga, luv! What say you to a rum to start this night, hmm?"

"Rum." She confirmed. "Let's go." Still holding his hand, Chel dragged him inside and sat down by the bar, patting on the seat next to her with a smirk. "Two bottles of rum!" she ordered from the bartender who looked at her as though she was a bottle of rum and he was a drunk. He even forgot to ask for money, which was lucky for Chel, who didn't have any of that. Holding on to her stuff in the blanket, she couldn't wait to exchange it for a place to stay, though the pirate seemed like a good catch if she needed a place to stay. Suddenly her stomach started rumbling and Chel's hand automatically moved away from her grasp of Jack's hand and over to her stomach, patting it. "I think that rum has to wait, Jack. I need some food."

Again Chel took control and luckily, none of Jack's fellow pirates or anyone he knew at all where around to witness that. He seated himself beside her and grinned at how Chel's appearance had gotten them free drinks. He often used the same technique with a charming smile to the female waitresses so it was pleasing to know they both had the same traits in that area.
"Rum can never wait!" He said pointedly and of course more dramatic than needed be. "But we can have both, savvy? Use yer charms again and get what you need..." Jack winked at her, then immediately grabbed one of the bottles that came to them and took a long swig, satisfied in no time with the taste and burn of the drink. Surprisingly, he felt the loss of her hand in his but he was more than sure more was to come soon enough.

Smirking back, Chel as well took a large gulp of the rum, and it actually tasted better than the last time she tried it. Though the drink didn't top the cocoa drink from El Dorado. She remembered she used to fake her believe in the gods just to get some.
She walked over to the table where the barman was now standing and taking orders, pointing on his shoulder. Her stomach rumbled once again and he did the math. He turned to her with a smile and recommended the stew that he could make for her even though they wouldn't usually make that this time of day. She thanked him and turned to Jack, walking back to her seat. She knew the barman was watching her, so she moved with her hips swaying like a bellydancer. Moving her gaze towards the barman again, she saw the man, possibly with the same smirk she had when approaching freedom with the name Tortuga. But her mind was set on Jack. She moved slowly and seductively with her eyes on Jack as she sat on the stool behind her. Her arms were supporting on the tall stool with her shoulders bent backwards. She had her foot on the leg rest, feeling how her leg was bending out of the skirt, stretching her leg and arms, she sat herself on the stool. She wanted Jack to have a good look at her as she moved, as well as the other man. But it was Jack who would be the one getting her. It was obvious Chel loved attention. And she knew how to get it.
