~~~About My Character~~~
What is your character's history? Are they a hero, or a villain, a sidekick or guardian? What has happened to them in their lives to make them the way they are today?
Peter Pan doesn't remember a lot of stuff from his real childhood. Being a youth for quite sometime has made him lose the graphic memory of his parents and his home town. He still remembers a little but he couldn't tell you who his parent's were or even how old he is because so many years has past and he's never has a birthday so therefore he hasn't aged. Peter does remember when Tinkerbell had taken him in. The fairy has always been there for Peter and Peter will do the same for her. Tinkerbell had taken him in for quite a few years until he was around an age where he could care for himself but was still the fun loving kid that people would get annoyed at. Once he was right she took him to Neverland and there is where he would stay a youth forever.
Peter never went back to the mainland, though only upon free will. He loved to see the youth of England and sometimes would sit outside their windows and listen to their mothers tel them stories, much like he remembered his parents doing. Peter remembered the small things that were most important for him but all he could see was a blur when he tried to remember his parents. As Peter kept wandering night after night from house to house he stumbled upon a house that he had grown quite fond too, the Darling's house. He would always sit and listen to Mrs. Darling tell stories to her three children, Wendy, John and Michael. He loved going to their house and learning what Mrs. Darling told her children. He often wondered about some things she read in the stories that she told them.
Then one day Peter had lost his shadow. He thought it was at the Darling's house because he went there a lot. He thought it would be pretty easy to grab his shadow and then fly out of there. In the beginning it was easy, Tink had found his shadow in a drawer, though catching it was the only problem. Without even realizing he was making so much noise he heard Wendy speak up from her bead and froze in his spot, holding onto his shadow. She offered to sew it on for him and so he let her. She had told him that she had to grow up and Peter wasn't going to have that so he made Tink put some pixie dust on the three and they all flew off to Neverland together.
As for Captain Hook... Well, Hook was most widely feared in all of Neverland, he was like their evil king. Hook started to get a run for his money when Peter came to Neverland and matched Hook's power. Hook also doesn't like Peter after the boy cut off his left hand, hence the hook. Peter and the Lost Boys always called Hook a codfish and would always mess around with him. When Peter sees someone that looks like a pirate, he asks them and of course he tells them that they lose all the battles because Peter and his crew win all of them. Peter is usually just messing around with Hook because he liked to get the man mad, though Hook isn't messing around with Peter and is still waiting for the day when he can push Peter off the plank.
While Wendy, John and Michael were here their first mission was to save Tiger Lily after Hook had captured her to find out where Peter Pan's hideout was. She didn't speak and Hook got mad at her. Peter came in and made his voice sound like Hook so he could get Mr. Smee to free Tiger Lily and bring her back to her people. It didn't work because Hook found out but Hook was later chased away from Skeleton Rock by the crocodile. After that they brought the Indian princess to her home and lad a small party. The three Darling children learned a lot about the Indians and they were soon off back to the hideout. Once there Wendy told, well sang, them a song about what a mother is. Each of the lost boys were too busy admiring how wonderful her voice was and how wonderful it would be to have a mother than to realize that Hook and his crew were outside of the hideout.
When Wendy had finished her song each boy wanted to go back with her and have a mother of their own, they don't remember their mothers but they hoped that Mrs. Darling could be their mother. On their way out Peter went back into his room and played his flute. Wendy wanted to say goodbye but Peter couldn't hear her because of his music. When they got out of the hideout they were all taken to Hook's ship and sent to walk the plank. Hook had also left a present for Peter and the message said to open it at exactly 6 o'clock pm. Peter didn't know that there was a bomb in the present that was supposed to blow him up. Good thing Tinkerbell was there to stop him from opening it. Though it did explode anyway and destroyed the hideout, which would later get fixed.
Meanwhile Wendy was sent to walk the plank. Though right when she jumped they didn't hear a slash because Peter had caught her and brought her under the ship, then up on top of the sail. Peter battled Hook for quite sometime but in the end, Peter beat Hook at his own game. Hook later fell into the water, swimming away from the crocodile with his crew chasing him. Peter and his crew now had the ship under their control. Tinkerbell had used her pixie dust all over the ship and they sailed off to England, letting Wendy, John and Michael go back home and grow up.
Describe your character's personality. What are their strengths and weaknesses, what are their passions? What qualities do they have that are good or bad?
Peter is a quick thinker and is able to move as fast as his mind can. He does tend to use his boyish charm to fool people into liking him, even if they already do. He isn't afraid to speak his mind and ask silly questions. He also isn't afraid to go up to someone and say hello, even when they notice him first. Peter isn't very fond of affection, he doesn't give hugs and is completely oblivious to love and any other form of it, he simply views it as an act of kindness. He is very adventurous and laid-back, he is also very sarcastic and is full of himself. Peter hides most of his feelings such as jealousy and loneliness because those aren't fun. Overall he is just a carefree, regular child.
~~~Sample~~~
Give us a small sample of how you will play your character. Give us at least three paragraphs.
The air was as crisp and clear as it always was. With clear skies splattered with clouds here and there the young boy flew through the air though with caution. He wasn't in Neverland for once, he was outside in England... But during the day. He never went out to the mainland during the day but he thought it would be fun to see what kids do during the day rather than sleeping at night. He flew from tree to tree, sitting on a branch in every one of them, looking out for people who were walking by. He made sure no one saw him and if they did he would simply take his green hat and put it over his red hair and tan face to hide him in the green of the tree, though luckily that didn't happen.
Peter soon got to a place where he heard a bunch of kids laughing and playing around. He stood in the tree, resting his hands against the trunk of it as he leaned forward to get a better look. His green shirt and tights were somewhat tight against his small frame. The brown belt that was around his waist helped keep his sword in place and also let the shirt hang baggy but also tight. He watched for a moment, the red feather in his hat was sticking up, rubbing against the green leaves of the tree. His brown eyes still watched them as they played around on the monkey bars, slides, and swings. His brown furrowed together as he looked at what they were doing. "What are they doing?" He asked himself as he watched them more. "Looks like fun, though!" He exclaimed from inside the tree.
Peter thought for a moment and soon shot up into a slide that no one seemed to be going on. The slide was like a tunnel while it twisted and turned in a tight circle. It seemed everyone didn't like this slide but Peter happened to like it. He turned on his back and let himself slide down, still covered by the slide's walls he laid in the slide. The slide was a greenish color, but it didn't camouflage him as well as the tree but it was better than nothing. Kids didn't even come by the slide but he could hear everything they were saying. He laid in the slide with his feet going up the turn of it and his head facing toward the opening. Glancing out the slide he saw someone looking at him a bit surprised.
With a jump, Peter turned on his stomach as the small boy looked at him and a large smile appeared on his face. "Peter Pan!" He exclaimed but later covered his mouth and climbed into the slide with the boy. Peter backed away, going more and more up the slide when the small boy came in. Though with a closer look Peter cocked his head. "Michael?" Peter asked and the small boy nodded toward Peter. Michael was now closer to Peter's age and looked much different. Though the way he did things and the way he talked Peter knew that it was Michael. Michael smiled and looked at Peter. "How's Hook?" Peter looked at Michael and just laughed. "Still loosing all the battles!" Peter exclaimed with another laugh. Peter was still fighting Hook while Hook was still trying to catch Peter but nothing really changed. "How's Wendy?" He asked, cocking his head to the side once more. That was the question he really wanted to know about. How was she? Did she grow up or even more out? She was probably much older now, since Michael was around Peter's age Wendy had to be much older. With a sad face Peter turned back to laying on his back, the same way he had before.
Giving a sigh he listened to what Michael had told him about everything. Michael was grown up and it seemed a bit different for Peter to listen to him. All he could remember was a small boy in pink pj's that had carried around a teddy bear and now he was... Well, he wasn't the Michael Peter knew. Peter still listened as Michael explained everything in detail about Wendy, John and his school. Peter turned his head to watch Michael talk. Michael wasn't looking at Peter as he talked, he was looking down at his hands while he fumbled around with them. "Well, Peter... How are you?" Peter was slightly startled by the question. He couldn't tell anything like what Michael had spent most of his time doing. "I'm good. Nothing has changed, really." Peter nodded looking out at the slide when someone else stopped in front of it. "Oh Michael!" He heard the girl say, the girl was around their age but Peter still scooted up in the slide even more. The girl kissed Michael on the cheek and then sat next to him. "Yuck." Peter whispered to himself as he scrunched his face in disgust. He watched as the girl skipped out from the slide, a small tattoo-like pattern was on her wrist. Little did Peter know that it was a birthmark. "Is she a pirate?" Peter asked, looking down at Michael who nodded. The girl loved to play pirate and was one almost every Halloween.
Peter shot back in reflex. "She is?" He asked once more and Michael gave a small shrug. "Well is she or not?" Peter crossed his arms at the boy and Michael just laughed at Peter. "Why did she... Uhmm.." Peter scratched his head as he thought of the word. "Why did she... Why... Uhmm.." He said once more and then snapped his fingers signaling that he got it. "Why did she give you a kiss?" Peter asked, looking at his friend. Michael just shrugged and looked at Peter. "I think he likes me." He heard Michael pipe up. "Well of course she'd like you. Who wouldn't?" With that Peter saw Michael shake his head, obviously not what he was trying to tell Peter who didn't quite understand love. Peter heard a bell and looked around. "What was that?" He asked, looking back to Michael with a confused face. "The school bell... I have to get back to class. It was nice seeing you, Peter. I'll tell Wendy you said hi." With that Michael climbed out of the slide and ran toward his teacher. Peter watched the whole thing and nodded before looking out at the top of the slide making sure no one was at the top of the slide. He then shot out of it like a cannon and disappeared into a tree again. Peter gave a grin and crowed for Michael and he heard a small crow back. Taking one last look at the slide Peter flew off into the sky, going back home.
