~~~About My Character~~~
What is your character's history? Are they a hero, or a villain, a sidekick or guardian? What has happened to them in their lives to make them the way they are today?
Belle was born and raised in a Northern French village with her father, Maurice. Growing up with a very creative inventor gave her a strong thirst for knowledge and reading in particular. As she matured in to a young woman, Belle began to realise how much more she wanted out of life than her fellow villagers, often seeing her as odd or peculiar.
Despite this, she was known as the most beautiful girl in town and one handsome but extremely conceited man called Gaston became determined to marry her, yet only seeing her for her outside appearance. Staying true to herself, Belle declined his offer of marriage, which angered him greatly.
Meanwhile, her father, Maurice, had gone on his way to a fair and got lost, ending up at the Beast's castle. When their horse returns home without her father, Belle rides to the mysterious castle in possibility of finding him. There she finds that a hideous beast has locked him away in a tower. Sacrificing her own freedom for her father's release, the Beast agrees but with one condition: that she must stay with him forever.
Although they get off to a rough start, along with the Beast's bad temper, there relationship ultimately changes for the better after the Beast saves her from a pack of wolves. After he adapts a more civil manner, a strong bond is soon formed between them. Enchanted not only her beauty, but by her bravery, boldness and kindness, the Beast soon falls deeply in love with her, yet denying that she would ever love him in return.
Describe your character's personality. What are their strengths and weaknesses, what are their passions? What qualities do they have that are good or bad?
Belle is a very intelligent and free-spirited young woman. Being naturally imaginative, she has a great passion for reading and longing for the adventures she reads in such books. She is very adventurous and often wishing that there is something more to the bland life she leads in her very routine-based village. Although extremely stubborn and hard headed, Belle is also very compassionate and self-sacrificing, being kind to those in need. She cares little about appearance and believes that the true beauty is found within (
) She loves The Beast, her father, her friends and loved ones and she loves animals and adventure, her favourite pass-time or passion being reading. However, she hates Gaston, being restricted, routines, boredom and conceitedness.

Give us a small sample of how you will play your character. Give us at least three paragraphs.
"What is this place?" Belle asked herself as she cautiously made her way through the strange surroundings. Her shoes crunching under the graveled floor, she gazed around quite unsure on where to go or what to do. She wasn't even sure what she was looking for.
The beautiful young woman lifted a hand to her face as she stepped out in to the bright sunlight. It was blinding but she did not complain. Belle loved nature and the feeling of being outside, although her feeling of appreciation was tingled with mild confusion. She was even a little afraid.
She had no idea how she'd got here or where anyone else was... If anyone was here at all! Was this a dream? Surely not, everything seemed so real. But where was Beast? Where was her father, Lumiere, Mrs. Potts, Chip, Cogs-worth, even her horse, Philippe was no where to be seen. Where was she?

Why this character? What draws you to them, what makes you want to play them? Do you have anything in common with them?
I have chosen this character because I feel Belle is the one I can relate most to, and perhaps the one I most want to be. I am similar to her in our interests of reading, and how we tend to get bored easily and want some fun and adventure, to experience the full love of life. I really enjoy her character as she is the epitome of being beautiful, while also being pure of heart. Her compassion for others, her bravery and kindness are qualities I'd love to have in myself and so I try to play her to the best of my ability.

Hmmm. There's not much to know really! I'm 19, and I go to university. I live in the UK and have a lot of love for Disney hehe. That's just the basics, if ya want to know anything else, feel free to ask. ;D
